The Belize jurisdiction
Belize is a well-known tax advantageous jurisdiction in Central America and part of the British Commonwealth. An international business company incorporated in Belize is exempt from local taxes, but in order to qualify it shouldn’t trade within the country nor own any real estate there.
Just like in the Cyprus jurisdiction , there is strict confidentiality and privacy regarding the names of the directors and the shareholders of the International (offshore) company, however Belize has more flexible general requirements. Directors and shareholders do not have to be Belizean residents, the IBC doesn’t need to maintain bank accounts, there is no minimum capital requirement and it only takes one day to complete an IBC’s registration.
